Privacy policy
What happens to your data when you visit this website or send us an enquiry – briefly first, in detail below.
The essentials
- This website sets no cookies, tracks nothing and loads nothing from other providers.
- What you send us through the enquiry form reaches us as an email and is used only to answer your enquiry.
- You can ask us at any time what we hold about you – and have it corrected or deleted.
Who is responsible
LINOX GmbH, Am Industriepark 12, 46562 Voerde (Niederrhein), Germany, represented by its Managing Director Christof Mansfeld.

When you visit this website
When you open a page, your browser transmits technically necessary data: IP address, date and time, the address requested, the page you came from, and your browser and operating system. The server needs this to deliver the page and to fend off attacks (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We do not analyse it or combine it with other data.
The website is operated for us by Media8 GmbH (opens in a new tab) (Dinslakener Landstraße 32, 46483 Wesel, Germany). It is hosted by Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Ave #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA. Pages are delivered from the Vercel location nearest to you; the server function that receives the form runs in Frankfurt am Main. Vercel keeps the server log for one day.
Media8 GmbH processes the data on our behalf and on our instructions (Art. 28 GDPR); Vercel is its sub-processor. Vercel is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (adequacy decision of the European Commission, Art. 45 GDPR).
When you write to us through the form
With the enquiry form you send us the raw material, quantity and requirement, your company, your name and your email address – and, if you provide them, grain size, delivery location, phone number and message. We use this information to answer your enquiry and to make you an offer (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
None of this is stored on the website: the server function forwards it to our mailbox as an email. It is sent on behalf of Media8 GmbH via the email service Mailgun (Mailgun Technologies, Inc., 112 E Pecan St #1135, San Antonio, TX 78205, USA) from its EU region, with its data centre in Germany; Mailgun keeps delivery logs for a few days. Where data reaches the USA in the process, the transfer is safeguarded by EU standard contractual clauses (Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR).
To guard against mass automated submissions, the server function counts how often a connection sends the form (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). It stores only an encrypted check value from which your IP address cannot be read; this is deleted after two days at the latest.
We keep your enquiry for as long as we need it to deal with it. If it leads to a business transaction, the statutory retention periods of German commercial and tax law apply (Section 257 HGB, Section 147 AO).
When you call or email us
We then process your details to deal with your request – with a view to a contract under Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, otherwise under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Retention is the same as for the form.
Links to other providers
The directions link opens Google Maps. Only when you click it do you leave our website; Google's privacy policy applies there. Our terms open as a PDF from this website.
Who else receives your data
We do not sell your data or pass it on for advertising. The service providers for the website and email act only on our instructions (Art. 28 GDPR). We pass data to others only where the law requires it or an order makes it necessary – to a haulier, for example.
Your rights
You have the right to
- access the data we process about you (Art. 15 GDPR),
- have inaccurate data corrected (Art. 16 GDPR),
- erasure (Art. 17 GDPR) and restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR),
- data portability (Art. 20 GDPR).
An informal message to info@linox-gmbh.de is enough.
You may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The authority responsible for us is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia, Kavalleriestraße 2–4, 40213 Düsseldorf, Germany, ldi.nrw.de (opens in a new tab).
Your right to object
Where we process data on the basis of legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), you may object at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR).
Do you have to give us data?
No. Without the required fields in the form, however, we cannot answer an enquiry. There is no automated individual decision-making (Art. 22 GDPR).
Encryption
The website is only available encrypted (TLS, shown by “https://” in the address bar).
